मित्रों, आज आप सब के साथ सांझा कर रही हूँ अंर्तराष्ट्रीय ख्यति प्राप्त  कवि व् चिंतक  डॉ. जे. एस. आंनद की इंग्लिश पोयम Invisible Gardener का मेरे द्वारा किया गया हिंदी में अनुवाद/ आपकी प्रतिक्रिया की प्रतीक्षा रहेगी/

अदृश्य बाग़बान 
*************

बागबान 

छटनीं करता है 

उन शाखओं की 

जो अधिक बढ़ जाती हैं 

और उन शाखों को भी 

जो नष्ट कर रही हों 

सौंदर्य और आकार 

साथ ही साथ हटा देता है 

उस विस्तार को जो 

अस्तव्यस्त कर रहा हो  

इसके प्रारूप को 

पत्तों के ढेर 

जो काट  डाले  गए  कैंची से 

और बागबान की  

सौंदर्य बोध सनी पैनी आँख 

अक़्सर याद दिलाती हैं मुझे 

उन लाखों करोड़ों लोगों के 

नरसंहार की 

धरा के विभिन्न महाद्वीपों में 

मानव के इस संसार में 

इतना अत्याचार !

जीवन की ज़ागीर  से 

कितनों को ही

रवाना कर  दिया जाता है 

हज़ारों  मानवीय और अमानवीय 

बहानों की आड़ में 

प्रकृति में भी 

झंझावात आते हैं (बिनबुलाये ?)

तटों को ले जाते हैं अपनी आग़ोश में 

और जाते जाते पीछे छोड़ जाते है 

कुछ बेरहम निशानियाँ 

कचरे के ढेर में बदल देते हैं 

हज़ारों घर और चूल्हे 

मवेशियों के सिर, शरीर और अस्थियाँ 

अदृश्य बागबान जानता है 

कौन उसकी सृष्टि का रूप 

विद्रुप कर रहा है 

यह झंझावात 

प्राकृतिक और मानव रचित 

यह तो कार्यरत 'ब्यूटी सैलोन ' हैं 

मूल रूप को क़ायम रखने के लिए /

रजनी छाबड़ा 

THE INVISIBLE GARDENER

The gardener

prunes 

branches which outgrow 

and also those which destroy 

beauty and form

and growth which is unwanted 

and disturbs its design.

The hordes of leaves 

cut adrift by the scissors 

and sharp sense of beauty 

of the gardener 

often remind me of killings

of people in millions 

dotting the earth across continents 

There is so much injustice 

so much cruelty in the world of men, 

thousands are  despatched 

out of the domain of life 

for a thousand reasons 

human and inhuman.

In nature too, 

tempests arrive (uninvited?)

sweeping across human shores 

and while going off 

Reducing to rubble 

thousands of homes, and hearths

heads of cattle,  bodies and bones.

.

The invisible gardener

knows what is destroying 

the beauty of its creation 

these tempests, 

natural and human, 

are beauty saloons at work

to keep the original design intact.
